Incident: Ural Airlines A320 near Urgench on Dec 26th 2010, loss of cabin pressure
An Ural Airlines Airbus A320-200, registration VP-BPV performing flight U6-738 from Dubai (United Arab Emirates) to Ekaterinburg (Russia) with 59 passengers and 6 crew, was enroute at FL370 just crossing the border from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan when the crew needed to initiate an emergency descent due to depressurization of the cabin. The crew subsequently diverted to Urgench (Uzbekistan) for a safe landing.
Incident: Aeroflot A319 near Zurich on Dec 29th 2010, loss of cabin pressure
An Aeroflot Airbus A319-100, registration VP-BWJ performing flight SU-1299 from Moscow Sheremetyevo (Russia) to Madrid,SP (Spain), was enroute at FL370 about 25nm northwest of Zurich (Switzerland) when the crew requested a descent to FL100 due to problems with the cabin pressure shortly followed by an emergency descent reaching FL100 within 7 minutes. The crew continued the flight to Madrid, the airplane was able to climb back up to FL290 about 10 minutes later. The airplane landed safely in Madrid about 1:50 hours later.
