I will be honest and say that, I don't know if this is a question big enough to warrant its own thread, but I'm curious to find out.
For a few years after the collapse of the USSR, some aircraft flew around still wearing their CCCP registration while also carrying the flag of their respective republic:
But does anyone know if the opposite ever happened? A new registration, but still carrying the Soviet hammer and sickle.
